PPC in Digital Marketing is strictly defined as Pay-Per-Click. This fundamentally means you only pay when someone clicks on your ad. Both Google Ads, Bing Ads and a few other platforms use this model. Facebook on the other hand bills on Impressions rather than clicks, however, in the mystic world of Digital Marketing, the term PPC is often used for social platforms too although not technically correct. 

What does PPC stand for?

PPC Stands for Pay-per-Click. This fundamentally means you are only billed when someone clicks on your Ad. The amount you are billed varies dramatically and is largely dependent on competition and how much competitors are also bidding on those keywords. The more competition, the higher the bids will go and the more you will pay. 

How much should i spend on PPC?

This is a highly subjective question that varies from business to business. However, generally speaking if you are achieving a 2+ ROAS (Return on Ad Spend), we would generally advise spending as much as you can whilst keeping cash flow in check, but also not putting all your eggs into one basket. 

 

By this, we mean invest into other more long-term options also, not just PPC.
