What We Did

We designed and developed a fully branded digital gift card system, enabling customers to scan a QR code and instantly download wallet-compatible passes. Our solution combined secure dynamic data handling with a static distribution link, allowing early marketing rollout without compromising functionality. By tailoring the UI for both Apple and Google Wallets, we ensured visual consistency and seamless usability across all devices. Delivered within just one week, the system supports global currency formatting, maintains brand integrity, and provides a secure, scalable foundation for future digital gifting campaigns.

The Challenge

Clarks needed a digital gift card experience accessible via QR code and compatible with Apple and Google Wallet. While simple in concept, the project involved several complex requirements. The solution had to support multiple currencies across international markets and maintain a consistent, branded design within the rigid limitations of both iOS and Android wallet platforms. Brand compliance was critical, with clear CTAs and visual styling that aligned with Clarks’ identity. Adding to the complexity, the project needed to be completed within just one week, significantly ahead of a typical timeline. To support early marketing rollout, the system also required a static URL and QR code, while still dynamically populating wallet data like expiry dates in a secure, tamper-proof way.

The Solution

We delivered a secure, cross-platform digital gift card system that met all requirements within a seven-day turnaround. A static web address was created early, enabling Clarks to begin campaign rollout while our back-end logic securely populated wallet passes with real-time data through token-based authentication. We developed tailored wallet designs for both Apple and Google platforms, ensuring brand consistency despite customisation limitations. The gift cards supported multiple currencies and were tested across major devices for performance and usability. The result was a fast, scalable, and secure solution that upheld Clarks’ visual standards while enabling seamless user access across markets and devices.
