Introduction
For a company with decades of trade heritage and a portfolio of trusted brands, QEP UK had a surprising gap in their digital presence. Well-established among flooring contractors and retailers across Britain, they had no corporate website — no front door for distribution partners, no hub for their trade audiences, no platform to represent the full breadth of their brand family.
Atomic was brought in to build one from scratch: a credible, ambitious corporate presence that could serve trade partners, retail buyers, distributors, and prospective employees simultaneously — without feeling like it was built for everyone and designed for no one.
What We Did
Web Design & UX: Crafted a multi-audience experience with clear navigation pathways for trade partners, retail buyers, and prospective employees. Web Development: Built a performant, scalable corporate website from the ground up — QEP UK's first dedicated digital presence. Brand Direction: Developed a tessellating visual motif derived from the QEP logo, a bold blue tonal palette, and the 'Transforming Spaces' narrative that unifies the full portfolio. Content Strategy: Structured the site across three clear pillars — Brands, Careers, and Contact — to serve every audience without friction.
The Challenge
QEP UK had an active social media presence but no dedicated corporate website, leaving them without a credible digital home for trade partners, distributors, and DIY communities. Without a centralised platform, they were unable to properly represent their full brand portfolio or provide clear pathways for their distinct audiences — retail buyers, trade professionals, and prospective employees.

The Solution
We built the site around the 'Transforming Spaces' narrative, unifying QEP UK's full brand portfolio under one roof. Intuitive UX pathways guide retail buyers, trade partners, and candidates toward three clear destinations: Brands, Careers, and Contact.
Our creative direction drew from QEP's heritage in flooring and construction — a world of precision, craft, and transformation. The tessellating logo-derived pattern creates visual continuity across sections, while the bold blue tonal palette conveys corporate confidence without losing warmth. Navigation was architected to serve three distinct user groups simultaneously, ensuring every visitor arrives exactly where they need to be.
The Result
QEP UK launched with a fully realised corporate website — their first — giving trade partners, retailers, distributors, and candidates a credible digital home for the first time. The site clearly represents the full QEP brand portfolio and provides a professional platform from which to grow their UK digital presence.
